  9.   -  The MIPrefs-program from aminet/util/misc/MonSpecsMUI.lha
  10.   -  Euro72-monitor-driver from AmigaOS3.1 (OS3.9 works also)

  12. DESCRIPTION:
  13.  
  14.   This is the result of some hours spent in MonSpecsMUI.
  15.  
  16.   With the modification I've made to the .info-file of
  17.   the Euro72 monitor driver you can have 825x625 screens
  18.   on your AGA Amiga. If your monitor allows it thow.

  20.   This is the mode i'm talking about:

  22.   Euro72 Productivity Interlaced
  23.   HScanFreq: 27.17kHz
  24.   VScanFreq: 79Hz

  30. INSTALLATION:
  31.  
  32.   Make sure you have the Euro72 monitor driver that came with
  33.   OS3.9 in your SYS:Devs/Monitors/ drawer. It may work with
  34.   earlier versions but I have only tested the one that came
  35.   with OS3.9.

  37.   Copy 'Euro72.info' from the drawer named 'Monitors' in this
  38.   archive to your SYS:Devs/Monitors/ drawer.

  40.   If you have VGAOnly in DEVS:Monitors/ then take it away.
  41.   It may work with it but I have not test if it does.
  42.  
  43.   Copy the file named 'MIPrefs' to C: from the 'MonSpecsMUI.lha'
  44.   -archive that can be found on Aminet.
  45.   
  46.   Make a backup of your old files before, if you think you'll need
  47.   them in the future. Copy them to a any place you prefer.

  49.   Put this lines in your S:Startup-Sequence somewhere after IPrefs
  50.  
  51.   SYS:Prefs/Overscan USE
  52.   MIPrefs
  53.  
  54.   Then just reboot.
  55.  
  56.   Now you can use SYS:Prefs/Screenmode to select
  57.   Euro72 Productivity Interlaced. If it doesn't look ok at a first
  58.   look when you test, use or save, then save and reboot.

  60.   The MIPrefs-program comes from 'MonSpecsMUI.lha' on Aminet. It's not
  61.   included in this archive but It's needed.

  63.   Don't try to modify Euro72 in the Overscan preferences! You don't
  64.   need to do that. You get 825x625 anyway. If you feel to have a
  65.   look anyway, please be prepared for that your monitor can't maybe
  66.   show it. My monitor can not.

  68.   Btw. you don't even need 'overscan.prefs' in SYS:Prefs/Env-Archive/Sys/

  73. TRAGIC SIDE FX:

  75.   Interlace-flicker. It's not much at all, but it IS there.
  76.   The mousepointer becomes MEDRES.
  77.   The mousepointer bahaves strange near the right edge of the screen.

  81.   Amiga1200 with Blizzard 1260 and a 20" PHILIPS SVGA monitor.
